The African Society for Fisheries and Aquatic Science (ASFAS) is a premier international organization of fisheries and aquatic scientists in Africa. The Society is committed to providing many tangible and intangible benefits to its members and the greater community. Membership in ASFAS is open to anyone interested in fisheries and aquatic science.

Membership will be divided into ordinary/full membership, student membership, and life membership. Membership shall be renewed annually.
